GUITAR
Guitar Lessons
In private guitar lessons at Elliott School of Music, our teachers focus on the skills necessary to grow as a musician, play along with others, and create the types of music that each individual student is interested in. We focus on learning chords, strum patterns, scales, reading music, improvising, rhythm, and countless other aspects of musicality.
BASS
Bass Lessons
There's a reason the bass player in a band is usually the coolest person around. They're holding it down in the background! thumpin and bumpin! Basically being the backbone of the whole musical experience. Bass lessons with us focus on being able to hold down basic rhythms, but also know when to throw in some extra funk!
PIANO
Piano Lessons
Our piano classes range from traditional to progressive depending on the needs of each student. If you’re looking for a classical approach, we have teachers available! If you would prefer focusing more on playing in a group and learning chords, chord progressions, and improvising, we’ve got you covered there as well!
DRUMS
Drum Lessons
Rock, Funk, Metal, R&B, Blues, and Country! Any style of drumming that you could imagine is what our instructors are prepared to help you learn. Our studios are equipped with full sized, acoustic drum kits so students are learning on a quality instrument from day one.
VOICE
Voice Lessons
In voice lessons, we work on vocal techniques, warm-ups, and exercises while also progressing through performance songs that are chosen by the student. We sing songs that are familiar to the student so that we can spend our time perfecting the vocal performance.
UKELELE
Ukelele Lessons
TAs one of the most easy to learn beginner instruments, ukulele has risen in popularity in recent years. We offer ukulele lessons every week and our teachers will have you strumming along with your favorite songs faster than you ever thought possible!
BANJO
Banjo Lessons
Who hasn’t fantasized about sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair pickin’ and grinning with friends? Banjo lessons with Elliott School of Music are geared towards a group performance “jam” style of learning. We will work on classic bluegrass songs to learn the basics and will quickly begin incorporating group play into lessons.
MANDOLIN
Mandolin Lessons
As a traditional folk instrument, mandolin is most often played in folk and bluegrass music and as such, our instructors aim to prepare students for group performing in that area of music. We use classic bluegrass and folk songs to learn the basics and will quickly begin incorporating group play into lessons.
WOODWINDS
Woodwinds Lessons
Our woodwind instructors are well rounded players and have extensive experience teaching school band. We offer lessons for flute, clarinet, saxophone, and even double reed instruments like bassoon and oboe! Our woodwind students include school band students needing extra help, advanced school band students needing more of a challenge, students preparing for auditions for regional/state level bands or college, or the older casual beginner who has always wanted to play.

Our brass lessons are taught by the best players and teachers in the area! MALLET PERCUSSION
Mallet Percussion
Our mallet percussion instructor has a very full resume of instructing and participating in indoor and outdoor drum lines, drum corps, and has experience on almost every mallet percussion instrument as well as other types of auxiliary percussion.
ORCHESTRAL
Orchestral Lessons
We offer orchestral lessons that range in style from classically oriented music, to folk, country and bluegrass. This means that we have teachers available for violin/fiddle (yes, they’re the same thing!), viola, cello, and upright bass!
